William Lee
Mr William Lee obtained his BSc degree from University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand in 2010. As an undergraduate student he studied microbiology and infections. He has previously participated in research in the toxicity of IVF disinfectants to embryos at Monash Medical Centre, VIC, Melbourne, Australia in 2011. He is currently working as a third year PhD student at MIMR-PHI Institute of Medical Research, Melbourne, VIC, Australia. His research interests are mitochondrial genetics and epigenetics. He is currently using embryonic and adult stem cells and cancer cells as models to investigate the influence of mitochondrial DNA on cellular fate and differentiation of stem cells as well as its effects on tumorigenesis.
